Cross-country centre in Riva di Tures

Thanks to its altitude of 1,600 metres, the cross-country centre in Riva di Tures is guaranteed to have snow from December right through to late spring. Around 15 kilometres of cross-country trails of varying difficulty, including the sunny village trail and the scenic Val del Rio trail. One of the highlights is the challenging black training trail, which offers ideal conditions even for top athletes. The rare combination of seclusion and professional facilities – including equipment hire, a cross-country skiing school and direct access to the trails – makes Riva di Tures a top cross-country skiing destination in South Tyrol.

There are two other popular cross-country skiing centres in Valle Aurina, which are also part of Dolomiti Nordicski and are easily accessible from Riva di Tures: in Rio Bianco (18 km distance) and in Casere (25 km distance). Rio Bianco boasts a circular cross-country ski trail of around 10 kilometres, which winds its way through the quiet side valley on the sunny side. At the head of the valley in Casere, at an altitude of 1,600 metres, a veritable snow paradise awaits: The sun trail offers around 10 kilometres of pure cross-country skiing pleasure against a high-alpine backdrop and, thanks to its high altitude, is often open until well into April.
