Rio di Riva Falls: the untamed power of nature.

The Rio di Riva Falls are among the most impressive natural wonders of Valle Aurina. Well-maintained footpaths lead to three roaring waterfalls that plunge spectacularly through the Rio di Riva gorge. The waterfalls can be explored in particularly atmospheric surroundings via the Sentiero di San Francesco, with the Cappella di Francesco e Chiara as your destination. The walk starts at the waterfall bar in Campo Tures, about 12 km from the hotel.

Taufers Castle: A trip to the Middle Ages

Taufers Castle is one of the best-preserved castles in South Tyrol: with its imposing walls, 21 fully furnished living quarters, armouries and an impressive keep that looks out over Valli di Tures e Aurina. A guided tour offers fascinating insights into the Middle Ages and the lives of the Counts of Tures. Approx. 12 km from Riva di Tures.

Chiesa di Santo Spirito: Place of energy and start of many hikes.

In Predoi, at the quiet end of Valle Aurina, is the church Chiesa di Santo Spirito, a centuries-old place of pilgrimage and of spiritual energy with a special atmosphere. Surrounded by alpine meadows and mountain peaks, it invites you to pause for a moment. The little church is also a popular starting point for easy walks. Distance: approx. 40 km.

At the historic Predoi copper mine, you can immerse yourself in the world of the miners – with tours of the tunnels, fascinating stories and original workstations.
